Ischemia is caused by oxygen not getting to part of the brain (any part of the body actually). You can have ischemia from a hemorrhagic stroke and an embolic stroke, but it can also be caused by trauma that causes swelling that compresses the vessels or causes a decrease in blood flow to the brain (strangulation, suffocation, drowning, etc.)
References :
hemorrhagic stroke deals with a bleed in the brain. (a hemorrhage)

embolic stroke is when circulation to the brain is cut off by an embolus (foreign body) in the blood stream.

and I can't remember what an ischemia is right now; so I'll come back and edit this later if noone else replies.

Edit:
If I'm correct; ischemic stroke deals with the heart simply not pumping enough blood to supply the brain with the oxygen it needs.
References :
what is the difference between ischemic stroke to hemorrhagic stroke and embolic stroke?
what is the difference of those?
