Anyone with deep vein thrombosis please answer?

My mom has recently been diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis in the leg and she is in A LOT of pain and her leg is REALLY swollen. If you had deep vein thrombosis, did you get better? What was your treatment? And do you have any suggestions on how to help my mom get better?

That remedy sounds pretty good. A quicker way, or if that doesn’t work, if she has the insurance to cover it is treatment via laser to make the vein walls fall. There are quite a few options.

  1. because I said so says:

Very odd they didn’t put her in the hospital

But I would call myself an expert when it comes to DVTs I’ve had 32 of them, All at differant times in the left leg only!

Prop that leg up, Your supposed to keep it higher then your heart! Then the next is the warm soak, get a warm towel & a trash bag, wrap the towel around the clot aera then place the trash bag around that, Then place a heating pad on it! And you keep that on 24/7 and stay off the leg as much a possable, And then of course take the blood thinners her doctor gave her,

And yes she will get better! & please don’t freak yes I’ve had 32 clots But I have a blood disorder that causes them, So your mom could have this one clot and never have one again,,,

Give her my best & take extra good care of her!
