Can a menstrual blood clot travel to your heart like other blood clots do?

Does anyone know if this is a possiblilty where these menstrual blood clots can travel to the heart or other organs? I’m a little concerned because of large blood-clotting during my period recently.
Arlene, I think its a very legitimate question, but thanks for your opinion.

If they are in your bloodstream, then yes they can travel throughout your circulatory system. Blood clots from your period are not in your bloodstream though and are too large to be reabsorbed by your body unless they are broken down, so no I don’t think you have anything to worry about.

Highly unlikely as the menstrual flow is leaving the body and not in contact with veins and or arteries for that matter .
