I’ve recently noticed that I’m clotting out blood during my period. These clots aren’t like one’s I’ve had before there larger than the size of a quarter and are close to the color black. I’ve never been pregnant (I’m too young for that). So I know I’m not having a miscarriage or anything. I’m just wondering if this is something I should worry about and get checked out. If anyone knows could you fill me in? Thanks.
If there truly is absolutely no way that you could have been pregnant, then yes, you should probably see a doctor. Sometimes when a woman is pregnant and doesn’t know it, and has an early miscarriage, which is actually quite common, (like if your period is just a few days late, or not late at all) then large, dark blood clots like you describe is actually tissue being dispelled. But if there’s no chance you could have been pregnant, then you should not be having blood clots like that. You should see your doctor if at all possible. Better safe than sorry.
