in a sitting position (on the floor), with his head slumped down on his chest, his feet on the floor and knees bent….they believe he had a heart attack, but we are awaiting autopsy results…has anyone ever heard of anything like this, or what he could have died from? I am in such grief I don’t know what to do…..for the record, he had a lot of health problems, as follows…..diabetes (controlled), coronary artery disease, hypertension (controlled), stage 4 kidney failure (not enough to require dialysis yet), and he also had atrial fibrillation, an irregular heartbeat. He had one mild heart attack 15 years ago, which was treated with balloon angioplasty. He also had an umbrella put in his groin to prevent blood clots from traveling to the heart or brain. He also had 2 strokes, which left his left side partially paralyzed, but he was still able to walk with a cane. The last stroke was about 12 years ago. I am so sad, I can’t even believe I am typing this….he was 76 years old. Thank you.
Thank you for your condolences…..
Losing a loved one is undoubtedly one of the most difficult experienced people go through.I pray that you will be able to live again. No one can ever feel what you feel or experience the depths of your pain and anger that overwhelms you. You have a right to be sad, angry and to hurt because your father meant so much to you.
I pray that you will be able to have joy and that you will bear no more sadness and pain. I pray that you will carry no more burdens and that you will be able to help the next person who crosses your path. I pray that you will forgive yourself and that you won’t sentence yourself to eternal prison. I pray for your freedom right now. I pray that your father did not die in vain, but that you can let others know that they can make it through whatever they experience in life. If you need counselling, please find a counsellor because it can help.
Take care as always.
Im so sorry about your father u are in my prayers. Stay strong. U explained that he had multiple heart conditions so any one or a combination of them could have contributed to his passing.

I’m so sorry about your father, my prayers go out to you. In answer to your question. It sounds very likely that her father passed from a sudden , massive heart rhythm disorder caused by a heart attack. People can be found in all manner of positions. I have seen hundreds as a Police Officer, Medic and Nurse. Be comforted that when folks pass like this it is sudden and there is little pain. My father died the same way. He was found near his truck with a cigarette still in his mouth and a cup of Coffee near by. His cell phone was found near him with 911 dialed on it but never sent. Your father had numerous health problems. He was very lucky to make it to the age of 76. He must of been a very tough man and strong willed to have made it to 76. Thank God that you had him for 76 years to be with and to love. Rest assured you will see him again when you pass and your spirits are joined once again. God bless, think good thoughts of him and keep his memory in your heart always.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. My dad died a year ago at the age of 53 years old and everything of his was also controlled. They determined he died of pancreatic failure. Weird huh? He was only in the stage of diabetes where you take medication and dont have to give yourself injections.
If he was on the floor it could be very possible that he had a bad heart pain and fell to the floor. It sounds to me like possibly another massive heart attack or stroke. I obviously am not a dr but worked with EMT’s and saw a lot of this type of thing. My guess is heart.
Once again I am so sorry.
