Two of my family members got diagnosed with cancer a few weeks ago. Both had leg pains, went to the doctor and were found to have blood clots in their legs which were being cause by their tumors.
I'm curious as to how painful that kind of thing is? Like if you have a clotting in your leg, is the pain obvious or is it subtle? I'd like to just learn more about it, but kind of a hard time to ask them.
Thank you.
Well, if there is a family history of DVT - it wouldn't be a bad idea to tell your family dr. he will more than likely send you for a Venous duplex (ultrasound of your legs). Some patient say it is a stabbing unbearable pain and others say it is like an achy feeling. This could be accompanied by swelling and redness of your leg. I would suggest getting an ultrasound - just to make sure!
